How do I donate?
- First, determine which giving method you will choose. See the "which donation method should I choose"
FAQ for additional information. Keep in mind that Direct Bank
Withdrawal is preferred since Chi Phi receives 100% of the donation.
- Next, visit the giving page and follow the instructions for the method that you select.
- Then, depending on your giving method, you can either submit the
donation online or send the donation to OTA via mail or fax.
- If you have any questions, contact OTA or your Giving Captain (visit the home page for contact information).

Which donation method should I choose: Direct Bank Withdrawal or Credit Card?
- The preferred method of giving is via Recurring Direct Bank Withdrawal.
- Chi Phi receives 100% of the donation when submitted via Direct Bank
Withdrawal since no fees are levied by our bank. When paying via Credit
Card, Chi Phi only receives ~90% of the donation after fees are paid to
the bank, credit card companies, etc.
- Both methods are equally secure.

Is my personal and financial information safe?
- Chi Phi takes strict precautions to keep your data safe. We utilize Merrill Lynch's secure payment platform for all Direct Bank Withdrawals. For Credit Card payments, we use PayPal
which has one of the lowest fraud rates in the industry and is highly
committed to customer security. NOTE: You DO NOT need a paypal account
to pay via credit card. - Remember, do not email your donation
form since that is not a safe method of communication. Please send it
to Chi Phi via regular mail or fax as listed on the donation form.
- Donation forms are kept safe by the OTA Treasurer and are shredded once they are no longer required.

Can I still make a one time donation instead of a monthly recurring donation?
- Of course. Please submit one time donations online (visit the giving page for directions) or send one time donations to the following address. Or, see the "other ways to donate" FAQ for information on other donation methods.
Send Payments to:
Omega Trust Association
245 N. Highland Ave.
Suite 230-159
Atlanta, GA 30307
Please keep in mind that OTA is working to minimize fundraising costs
by cutting back on one time giving letters (which is the premise behind
the migration to monthly automatic recurring donations). Therefore, as
more alumni donate on a monthly recurring basis the cost of donation
mailings will decrease since those alumni will not receive the one time
donation requests. Monthly donations are less expensive for OTA to
administer and allow more of the donations to go towards Chi Phi
instead of to the marketing and printing companies.
If you choose one time donations over recurring monthly donations,
please consider setting up a monthly/quarterly/yearly recurring
donation through your online banking account. This will help OTA to
minimize the expense of costly reminder mailings and will minimize the
effort of writing checks to OTA.

When does the monthly recurring donation stop?
- Since the monthly recurring donation is a replacement for Chi Phi's
annual giving plan, we hope that you will be committed to Chi Phi for
the long term. That said, it is up to you when you stop donating. You
can stop your donation at any time online or by contacting OTA or your
Giving Captain (visit the home page
for contact info). We request that you commit to at least 1 year to
minimize the administrative costs to start and stop donations.

Can I change the recurring donation amount at any time?
- Yes, login online or contact OTA or your Giving Captain with your changes (visit the home page for contact info). However, to minimize administrative costs, please limit changes as much as possible.

Why should I donate to OTA/Chi Phi?
- The Chi Phi friendships that you made during your time at Tech have
lasted many years and are your best friends. Giving back to Chi Phi is
a way of saying thanks for those friendships.
- Donating to Chi Phi enables the current Actives to enjoy the things
that you loved about your fraternity and will enable them to build
strong lifelong friendships too.
- We are all proud of our Chapter House and want to visit with our
family and friends for football, Shrimp & Beer, etc. Donating
allows OTA to continue to improve and maintain the house for
generations to come.
- In the years leading up to the contruction of our Chapter House, each
brother donated a recurring amount starting from their first year after
graduation. After only a short period of time, we were able to build
the house. OTA is continuing this tradition to provide continued
improvements to the house.
